Crawford Lake: Layers in Time

Toronto has a fascinating way of bringing local stories to life, and “Crawford Lake: Layers in Time” offers a meaningful reason to visit the Royal Ontario Museum. Opening September 27, 2025, this exhibition explores Crawford Lake’s thousand-year record of environmental change and the relationship between people and place.

Visitors can experience a rich mix of Indigenous belongings, settler objects, scientific evidence, artworks and historical documentation. Together, these pieces reveal how the land has changed over time and invite us to consider the knowledge, decisions and communities connected to it.

For local residents, the exhibition is an easy addition to a Toronto weekend—especially for anyone who enjoys museums, history, environmental learning or discovering thoughtful activities close to home. Admission to the exhibition is included with ROM admission, and it will be on view through January 3, 2027.

Save the date, share the experience with neighbours and learn more before planning your visit at https://www.rom.on.ca/whats-on/exhibitions/crawford-lake-layers-time. As a local real estate professional, I love highlighting the cultural destinations that help make Toronto such a vibrant place to live.
